So, you want to know why I’m an actor? Okay. Here’s the story.
When I was four or five years old, my favorite movie was Journey to the Center of the Earth (2008). My family had it on DVD, and like many DVDs at the time, ours came with behind-the-scenes content from the production. This included a segment in which they followed Josh Hutcherson through his day on set, where he described how he had begged his parents to let him become an actor, saying, “Mom, Dad, I want to be in movies.”
Something about hearing another kid put that feeling into words made everything click for me.
I already knew I loved acting. I loved performing. I loved creating. They were the things I kept coming back to, the things that made me feel most like myself. But I had never really considered that I could do those things for the rest of my life. Until that moment.
I got up off the couch, marched upstairs to my parents’ bedroom, and stood in front of my mom. To this day, I can still point out exactly where I was standing when I said:
“Mom, I want to be in movies.”
Sixteen years later, I’m still chasing that little girl’s dream, and I’m living it, too. I live and work full-time in New York City. I graduated magna cum laude from NYU Tisch with a BFA in Drama and a minor in Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technologies. I’m an actor, but I’m also a filmmaker, creator, and storyteller.
I don’t just want to be in movies. I want to make them.
I find just as much joy behind the camera as I do in front of it, and I love being involved in every part of bringing a project to life. Whether I’m acting, directing, writing, creating, or collaborating with other artists, I’m happiest when I’m making something.
That little girl who stood in her parents’ bedroom and announced that she wanted to be in movies didn’t know exactly where that dream would take her. I still don’t.
But I do know that I want to keep making things, keep telling stories, and keep finding my way into the worlds that have only ever existed in my head. And it’s all Josh Hutcherson’s fault (kidding).

Anything where I can fight on a medieval battlefield. I’m talking armor, weapons, horses, mud, all of it. Put me in coach.

I can’t not say the Lord of the Rings films. Silence of the Lambs, Jojo Rabbit, and But I’m a Cheerleader are also up there. The original Star Wars films are also up there.
I could rewatch HBO’s Chernobyl a million times. Incredible show. Oh, also Avatar: The Last Airbender :)

I have always loved fantasy. Sci/fi and Dystopian are close behind. But honestly I kind of like everything, my taste really is all over the place.

GRAPES. Nothing can beat a good, crisp, green grape. I am addicted.
I’m a huge foodie so I love a lot of different types of food. Honestly, one of my favorite hobbies is trying new restaurants and new food. But if I had to pick a last meal, I’d pick a German dish my mom used to make for my birthday growing up: Jägerschnitzel mit Spätzle

I think I’d be some kind of jungle cat. Like an ocelot or jaguar, perhaps. Just something lurking in the trees and always observing. Probably sleeping a lot, too.

I would try really hard, but then I would probably do something really dumb and it would be over for me.
